Mango approached us to come up with a set of icons for each of the different qualities found in their Performance and Sport Collection lines.

The new icons needed to integrate with the typical laundry and fabric care icons we all know while expressing features unique to Mango’s Performance collection.

Beyond the usual “do not wash” and “do not bleach” we had to come up with visuals to represent technologies like water proofing, thermo regulation and anti-stains as well as more abstract things like comfort, function and ease of care.

To adhere to the typical visual language of fabric care we came up with very simple shapes rooted in geometry, communicating these complex concepts and making sure that they remained legible at even the smallest sizes, prioritizing functionality with a minimalistic but elegant look and feel.
