A New Vision When Joining Forces
Defion is a cybersecurity company that doesn’t position its service through fear of the many digital threats that exist today, but rather as a tool that integrates into the core of businesses and becomes a driver of growth.
Born from the merger of two companies, one Dutch and one Catalan, Defion offers both rapid-response services for urgent issues and preventive solutions against different types of threats. For its launch, we created its name, brand strategy and developed its visual identity.
Simplifying a Complex Universe
The challenge was to bring freshness and dynamism to support an optimistic approach, one that views security as an opportunity for safe growth, within an industry that typically builds its communication and sales strategies around fear and risk.
With this strategy and goal in mind, we sought a simple and approachable visual language, focused on visualising, communicating, and simplifying complex concepts and technologies, a clear departure from the market’s mainstream language, which often resembles that of gaming.
Building with Layers
Using "protective layers" materialised in 3D, we developed animations that represent specific concepts and services, each with its own behaviour, scale, and colour. These layers became the building blocks of the brand’s visual narrative.
Alongside the 3D visual language, we incorporated a graphic system using iconography and layers of encrypted code, creating a set of assets adaptable to multiple contexts. For the logo and overall typographic identity, we started from a robust and solid typeface to convey security and trust.
With this identity, we developed the website, social media presence, and team merchandise, applying the same freshness and dynamism that define the brand.
The result is a visual and strategic proposal that breaks with industry standards, communicating, in every context, an optimistic and constructive message at the core of the strategy.
