From the Dominican Republic to the world
Dembow is a Caribbean music genre that is taking over the world. The term comes from a song called “Dem Bow” by Jamaican artist Shabba Ranks, and translates to “they bow down.”
Originating in Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, dembow draws from rhythms such as reggaeton and dancehall. It is characterized by prominent percussion, a fast-paced vocal style, and a high-energy tempo that is perfect for moving your hips—and everything that comes with it.
Dembow Pegao is Spotify’s playlist that brings together these tracks that only need one play to spark an instant party. Featuring artists from the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Italy, Guatemala, and beyond, this playlist proves that dembow is conquering the world and getting everyone on the dance floor.

Perreo and Neon
For the design of this playlist, we drew inspiration from the color and energy of the dembow scene, its album covers, and its nightlife imagery to create bold uppercase lettering in bright neon colors.
Neon lips provide the finishing touch to the concept, serving as a nod to those unforgettable nights of perreo. Set against a dark, nightclub-inspired background, the design highlights some of the genre’s biggest stars, including El Alfa, Tokisha, and Rochy RD.

A visual identity that puts the strength and character of a constantly expanding music scene front and center.
