40 years celebrating Spanish cinema
In its 40th edition, the Goya Awards were held in Barcelona, our city, an event that filled us with pride and excitement, as we have been developing its visual identity for many years.
As in every edition, we created the event’s graphic and animated elements: chyrons, animations, screen designs, and other resources featured throughout the ceremony and its broadcast.

For this edition, we drew inspiration from trencadís, a symbol of the venue that hosted the festival in 2026 and, at the same time, a powerful analogy for Spanish cinema with its diversity and richness. Trencadís is a mosaic technique consisting of irregular fragments of ceramic, marble, or glass.
Popularized by Antoni Gaudí, it became one of the great emblems of Barcelona’s modernism. Although composed of distinct and irregular pieces, they come together to form an abstract and fluid work, full of color and energy, just like our cinema.
The parts of a greater whole
During the broadcast, these animated trencadís pieces were assembled and disassembled to structure the various moments of the gala, in a palette of golds and blues, complemented with white, green, and cobalt.
The colors are inspired by the materials typical of the modernist technique and enhanced with cinematic touches.

This year also coincides with the centenary of Gaudí’s passing, which gives even more significance to a celebration that each year honors the very best of Spanish cinema.
